At What Point And Time

Do we start to recognize Texas Tech as the 2nd-best college football program in Texas? Since 2000, their record stands head and shoulders above A&M's, beaten the Aggies four out of the last six years, gone to six consecutive bowl games, beat a talented Cal team last year in the Holiday bowl and came within four points of doing the same to an amazing Alabama team. Meanwhile, the Aggies haven't been the same since, oh, UT's hiring of Mack Brown.

Just asking, that's all.

Update, 1:47 pm: The Express-News' Richard Oliver has a similar thought in this article. Did anyone think when the Big XII formed a decade or so ago that the roles would have reversed so much between the North and South divisions?
