Texas Poll

As you have seen from virtually every other blog out there, the new Texas poll numbers are out and look pretty promising for Chris Bell:

General Election Match-up:
46- Perry (R, Inc.)
25- Bell (D)
13- Kinky Friedman (I)

And while normally a twenty point deficit isn't something to write home about, that's not too shabby for an election 11 months away, going against a sitting incumbent who has been in office for a term and a half. Actually, it's the best any Democratic candidate for governor has polled at this point and time in over a decade. As I've been saying for a while now, we have a definite chance in retaking the Governor's mansion. Only right-wing fringers are enamored with Perry while Kinky's support is closer to 15 than it is to Bell's numbers. And as more and more people pay attention once the new year rolls in, these numbers will only continue to rise.
