John Sharp In Town Today

From the e-mails:

State Representative David McQuade Leibowitz today said that he has scheduled a special community forum for Thursday so that local leaders, education professionals, and taxpayers can hear from former State Comptroller John Sharp, who is heading up the Governor's new Texas Tax Reform Commission to find ways to provide a sound funding source for public schools while lowering property taxes.

"John wants to meet with the community and get our best ideas," Leibowitz said. "This is a unique opportunity for San Antonio to give him our input even before he convenes the first official meeting of the tax panel next week."

Leibowitz said his special community forum on tax reform and public education is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, November 17:

4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
