The Pound And Parks

The SA pound gets a raise and SA parks look for one. The pound has been a beacon of mismanagement and barbarism. Some more money pouring into that place wouldn't have mattered if a staff shakeup and a change in how they do business over there hadn't happened first. Looks like they're finally starting to right the ship.

The SA Parks and Recreation Board would like to see a $2.4 million increase in funding next year, saying that the city should dip into its $26 million surplus this year to do it. I think that's going to be a pretty tough pill to swallow since we're turning down many others looking for more money. Mayor Hardberger had more parks and increased park funding as a fairly substantial plank in his platform while campaigning. Let's see if he throws some money their way.
