A Few Questions for the Mayoral Candidates

Julian Castro-
What reassurances can you give me that you will stay as mayor the entire 4 years in office? Example: Should Congressman Gonzalez not seek re-election in '06 or '08, can you tell me definitively that you will not seek that post?
Why will you be a better steward of taxpayer's money than your two opponents?
Why do you claim to not represent the business-as-usual crowd at City Hall?
How will you pay for your mayoral vision... other than with 'creative parking lot financing' or through scrubbing our budget?

Phil Hardberger-
What can you do to reassure anyone's fears that you have a solid grasp, intellectually, on City Hall?
Why will you be a better steward of taxpayer's money?
What does your outsider experience mean once you get inside City Hall?
How will you restore integrity and ethics to City Hall?

Carroll Schubert-
Your campaign strategy heavily emphasizes the North Side. As Mayor, how can we expect you to fully represent the other three sides of San Antonio?
Why will you be a better steward of taxpayer's money?
How will you restore intregrity and ethics to City Hall?
What will you do to bring businesses to the underserved areas of the city, and not just the North Side?

Now let's see if we can actually get any of these guys to respond...
